Prof. Andrii Korol

Professor Andrii Korol is a medical retina specialist, Professor of Ophthalmology, Head of Department of Research and Application of Laser in Ophthalmology, and Acting Deputy Director for Research at the Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy in Odesa, Ukraine.

Professor Korol is a member of the Ukrainian Society of Ophthalmologists and European Society of Retina Specialists (EURETINA). He is involved in teaching, advisory boards, and audit groups. He was awarded the Certificate of Merit of Presidium of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine and the Certificate of Merit of Supreme Council of Ukraine.
 

Professor Korol’s research interests are in laser and intravitreal treatment of eye diseases. He has been principal investigator in more than 20 clinical and research studies and has published numerous scientific papers. He is also a head of the advanced training courses “Intravitreal and sub-tenon therapy” and “Lasers in ophthalmology” at the Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine.
