Teresa Barth is a vitreoretinal surgeon and ophthalmologist, and is currently Deputy Head of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University Hospital Regensburg, Regensburg, Germany. She has earned additional qualifications, including Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology and Master of Health Business Administration.

Prof. Dr. Barth’s expertise in medical retina and vitreoretinal surgery is well recognized, and she has conducted significant research in this field, comprising publications on anti-VEGF therapy for random chorioretinal diseases and retinopathy of prematurity, as well as papers on vitreoretinal surgery, such as risk factors for rhegmatogenous retinal detachment, silicone oil-related visual loss, giant retinal tear management, and other complex vitreoretinal surgery situations.
