Yu-Bai Chou is an attending vitreoretinal surgeon and ocular oncology consultant in the Department of Ophthalmology at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, Taiwan. He completed residency and fellowship training in retina and vitreous diseases at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, followed by an observership in ocular oncology at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, UK (2023), and a research fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital, Philadelphia, USA (2024–2025).

Dr. Chou’s clinical expertise includes vitreoretinal surgery, retinal diseases, ocular oncology, and advanced ophthalmic imaging. His research focuses on retinal surgery, artificial intelligence in ophthalmology, ocular oncology, and the development of innovative ophthalmic devices.

Dr. Chou has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in leading ophthalmology journals and received the Award of Vitreoretinal Surgery from the Taiwan Retina Society. He is committed to advancing patient care through translational research, innovation, and international collaboration.
