Kelvin Teo is a consultant ophthalmologist, medical retina specialist, and Adjunct Associate Professor with the Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences Academic Clinical Programme (Eye ACP) at the Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore. He is Visiting Faculty at the Singapore Eye Research Institute (SERI) and the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) Ocular Reading Centre. Previously, he served as a senior consultant in the Medical Retina Department at SNEC, Director of the SERI Clinical Trials Platform, and Clinical Director of the SNEC Ocular Reading Centre.

After graduating from Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of London, UK, Associate Professor Teo completed specialist ophthalmology training at SNEC, followed by Medical Retina fellowships at SNEC and the Save Sight Institute, University of Sydney, Australia. He obtained his PhD from the University of Sydney, where his research focused on advancing the understanding and management of AMD.

Associate Professor Teo’s research focuses on retinal imaging, imaging biomarkers, clinical trials, and precision medicine for retinal diseases. As a principal investigator for numerous international clinical trials, his work has contributed to the development and evaluation of novel therapies for retinal diseases, including geographic atrophy and neovascular AMD. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications.

In addition to his academic and research activities, Associate Professor Teo contributes to national ophthalmology initiatives and collaborative clinical research through professional and advisory appointments in Singapore and internationally.
