Prof. Sobha Sivaprasad

Sobha Sivaprasad is Professor of Retinal Clinical Studies at the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology in London, UK. She is also a consultant ophthalmologist at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, specializing in medical retina. Her higher research degree was on age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and she obtained her medical retina fellowship from Moorfields Eye Hospital.

Professor Sivaprasad has active clinical and laboratory research interests in AMD, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vascular disorders. Her research focuses on biomarkers and modeling of retinal morphology in retinal diseases. She oversees several multicenter clinical trials in these areas and has contributed to more than 350 peer-reviewed publications. She is an Editor of Eye and is a peer-reviewer of several international ophthalmic journals.
